Turkey Hunting License Requirements You Don't Want To Ignore
Are you interested in becoming experienced in turkey hunting, but you are not sure what the hunting license requirements are? There are many things to check off before you can engage in turkey hunting. Here are some guidelines for how you can fulfill the hunting license requirements that are needed for legal turkey hunting. The requirements for a turkey-hunting license will vary according to your specific state. In general, however, you can expect to fulfill a set of requirements before you are given a turkey-hunting license.
Different Kinds of Hunting Licenses - Which One Do You Need?
There are many different kinds of hunting licenses. Which kind will you need for turkey hunting? It depends on what kind of turkey hunting you would like to do. If you are planning on only doing a little springtime turkey hunting in order to take advantage of the gobbler activity that is common during the spring season, you will usually only need to get a temporary permit from your local game, fish and wildlife department. However, if you are serious about doing some long-term, year-round wild turkey hunting or other kinds of wild game hunting, you will often have to pay more for a full license. Here are some guidelines for getting a long-term hunting license. The ins and outs of getting a license will always depend on your local and state laws, so these are merely guidelines for what you can expect from your local game, fish and wildlife department.
Getting a Recreational License and Permit
In some areas, you can get a so-called recreational license that entitles you to do all kinds of hunting in a specified area. In some cases, you can procure these recreational licenses and permits from the local county tax collector office, or subagents, including local sporting goods stores and other retailers that are known to sell fishing or hunting equipment and which are licensed to sell these recreational licenses and permits. The price of procuring a permit, license or issuance fees will be subject to change depending on the local legislative session, which maintains the fee schedule. Some areas allow the convenience of online recreational license sales, and you can buy directly from the regional department over the Internet.
Other Ways to Purchase a Hunting License and Permit
There are other ways to purchase a hunting license and permit. For instance, the state of Georgia keeps the process of buying a hunting license or permit simple enough. They offer individuals two simple ways to purchase a hunting license or permit. The first way to buy a hunting license and permit is to purchase it from a licensed dealer. The second way to purchase a hunting license or permit is to purchase it online directly from the commission in charge of monitoring the hunting and licenses. In order to purchase a hunting license directly from a dealer, individuals should consult with their local sporting good stores, marinas, bait and tackle shops and hardware stores. Many of these licensed dealers are also authorized to sell hunting licenses and permits to non-residents as well. In these cases, you should ask specifically for a non-resident license. Always be prepared to show official identification. You can also purchase hunting licenses directly from the authorized and secure website.
How Much Will a Wild Turkey Hunting License Cost?
The cost of buying a wild turkey hunting license will depend on the state. Most states operate on a specific fee schedule. In general, you can expect to pay less for a turkey-hunting license than you would for bigger game. You can also purchase a lifetime license if you would like to save money in the long run.

I am a meat eating hunter, but generally receptive to the veggie point of view. What are your thoughts?

Who else in the hunting forum has had their account suspended for asking politically incorrect questions?
...in the hunting forum?
It seems everytime I ask a question that doesn't fit the mainstream (YA Kalifornia) mindset, my account gets suspended.
Yet, when people attack hunting and our way of life, they don't even get the question removed not matter how many times it gets reported???
How is that happening?
I would have given it up already if it were not for some VERY amazing friends I have made here that I couldn't effectively reconnect with. Much of the input I have gathered over my 4 level 4/5 accounts has made me a better person. It has also made me like the brass a YA a lot less.
I have a feeling their payment is going to come in the form of "Micro", and it sure as hell ain't gonna be "soft"....lol
Please mark this as interesting...I am REALLY curious as to how much input I can get before this question and my account gets deleted.....again.
Long live Coolhandven, Wujoosay, and all the other frikken doomed accounts......
I would give you all thumbs up but I can't with my new level 1 soon to be deleted account.
While the angst of veggie/carnivore is a mild issue here, it is really about the choices made by ya administrators.
I appreciate the stars. Never asked for them before, but thank you now...
A nice example of blatant rule breaking that is not addressed. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080412202750AA3dqY5&r=w#Q78qMnPeWFQWNtyNX8lH
Mr. P. I am no angel, never claimed to be. When I produce one of my "better works" it is because someone is deserving. I have ranted and then apologized when appropriate. This question is about the bias used by ya admins to selectively allow whatever the hell they want and not applying the rules evenly across the board.

How will the hunting forum change when ya gets bought out?
- Will there be less intolerance toward us "2nd Ammendment types"?.
- Will our "reports" actually get reported?
- Will we stop getting suspended for supporting our lifestyle?
- Will trolls and "cloners" actually be suspended?
- Can we then be enabled to live in peace and sing "kumbayaa" in our own forum without getting harrasment from the man?

A prime example of an asshat in action.
What can I say about that Bobbo? It appears that even the vegetarians feel it's time to lighten up!

Do you think I am a troll? What is your opinion?
Just curious....
I contribute regularly to this forum with what knowledge I have on meat free foods though I am a meat eater.
I am respectful of VEGETARIANS and VEGANS as I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge from this forum that I use to ensure my kid gets proper nutrition.
However, I am exceptionally aggressive toward peta activists, anti-hunters, semi vegetarians (any meat), and abusive meat eaters. I have to admit that I have NOT been nice to any of them.
In addition, I have greatly appreciated some of the excellent input that some of you have provided to the hunting forum as well.
If your opinion falls into that of a troll.....Tell me why.
remercier vous maîtrise "apres vous"
thank you for your opinion gadfly
I said "Thank you Master "Apres Vous".
And "spring" thinks I am just a hillbilly...lol
I accept your opinion shelob. I too, do not see it as a sport but a way of life. I respect EVERY animal I take and ensure nothing is wasted and that each taking of life is humane. I have to admit that my interaction with this forum has reduced my quantity consumption somewhat significantly.
I will never be a vegetarian, but I am more cognisant.
Wujoo2 has been known as Wujoosay, Coolhandven, and others. Though I have NEVER used multiple accounts.
ya just doesn't like us "hillbillies".
Gadfly- I take back my nice response. I see now that you are simply a bass turd floating amongst us mammals in the gene pool. Some day soon a Tilapia will come along and then you will transmogrify into a tilapia turd....then my joke won't be anywhere near as funny. But you will still be a turd....Salud!
Please stop the reporting. Everyone, even Gadfly, has opinions about my position in this forum. I respect them and appreciate hearing ALL of them. If I thought I needed to defend myself from Mr. Cam he knows I would do it, as do you all. My response to Senior Gadfly above is a perfect example. Thanks to EVRYONE for the input, I just wanted to gauge where I stood and see if anyone even gave 2 cents about my input.
Thanks everyone.
Steve
