Finally, if you want to increase your chances of shooting a deer, you should hunt as long as possible, especially during the phases of the rut. Most deer are shot either at dawn or at dusk, however, during the rut the buck are moving all the time. Also most hunters have a hard time setting for long periods of time. So....between 9:00 am and 11:00am these guys will be starting to move around. Consequently... if their are any deer in the area they will get pushed. If you are still setting in your stand your odds of getting a deer greatly increase. I would say most of the deer I have shot have been between 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. I don't know how many times I've gotten down from my stand only to spook deer walking in to me. If I had only sat for 15 more minutes I might have had a shot. Can you relate? Any way keep this in mind the next time you want to quit early, even fifteen minutes early, you may miss the shot you've been waiting on all day. Just remember to be patient, though. How do you make a 900 yard shot with a .300 mag?
I was just wondering. I was at work the other day and there's this gun enthusiast, who's not a hunter and only owns an SKS, saying that 900 yard shots are impossible unless you have some kind've .50 caliber sniper rifle. I was looking up the ballistics of .300 mag ammo and at 500 yards it drops by 38 inches, yet I've seen hunting videos and youtube videos where they make extremely accurate shots like that all the time. So I guess my question is drop in trajectory for a shot like that really that bad, and if so how does the shooter compensate for it? Do they just eyeball the shot or is there a specific scope you need to get for that? Thanks.

Second Amendment vs. 1 million US dollars, which would you choose?
Hypothetical Situation:
If the US government began a massive gun buyback program and offered you 1 million US dollars in exchange for you to legally waive your 2nd Amendment rights, and forfeit your guns to the federal government. Once you waived these rights by accepting the million dollar offer, you would be imprisoned for life (with no parole) if you violated the following terms:
"You are to never shoot, own, use, clean, borrow, touch, hunt, or purchase a firearm or piece of ammunition, ever in your life. You are allowed to watch hunting videos, but you can never hunt with a firearm ever again".

How can you get girls when you have nothing in common with them?
I have no clue what to talk about with girls. To be honest I don't know what to talk about with men, but i don't care about that.
I have mostly introverted interests such as reading, spearfishing, hunting, video games, exercising, I take many difficult college courses like physics and ochem which occupy my time. I can't seem to communicate well with people and this hurts my chances with girls.
I did have friends in high school but it always seemed like more of an obligation to hang out than something I wanted to do. I usually enjoy being by myself but I would like some female companionship now that I'm 20, I wish I didn't have sexual urges but my body seems to want a girl.
My mind just tells me don't worry about it, they're just obligations you don't need but I think I need a girl in my life. I know my college roomates think i'm strange, I try to do group activites but my heart isn't in them. Any useful advice would be appreciated, thanks.
